Fedido Posted May 15, 2021 Report Posted May 15, 2021 Alright SSV Nation, I havenβt posted much of my work lately, but thought this would be appropriate. It is a 20 MM aircraft gun barrel mounted on Bloodwood, which is the most dense wood I have ever played with). The mounts are Bubinga with inlays to the coins, patch and the nameplate. The nameplate is scrolled in Canarywood. I was so surprised to see a red streak within the Canarywood. Never seen it before. It is finished with Teak Oil. Feel free to ask questions. I totally enjoyed this. Β TexasDIY, RabidAlien, crupiea and 6 others 9 Quote
Jim McDonald Posted May 15, 2021 Report Posted May 15, 2021 Blood wood is tough. Only thing I've cut harder was Brazilian Cherry. Like cutting concrete. Β Beautiful momento for someone. Fedido 1 Quote
