Paladin Posted May 25, 2021 Report Posted May 25, 2021 Question for all you Inkscape experts: I am working on cutting a multi-layer pattern that was originally designed for automated cutting machines (laser, cricut, etc.) and was wondering if there is a way in Inkscape to have it show the quantities of cuts? I recently figured out how to get it to outline things which made a huge difference for me in trying to cut these types of patterns. The current layer I am working on is taking me forever, and I am curious as to how many cutouts are in it and hoping there is an easy way for it to be tallied. Thanks, Steve OCtoolguy 1 Quote
FrankEV Posted May 25, 2021 Report Posted May 25, 2021 I think you just will have to counht...1,2,3,4... I do that when I'm drilling the blade holes. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Dan Posted May 25, 2021 Report Posted May 25, 2021 There are CAD programs that can add up the cutouts but Inkscape wants you to use you finger. Illistrator may have that feature. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
jollyred Posted May 26, 2021 Report Posted May 26, 2021 I have noticed that if you select a number of objects at once, the description bar at the bottom of the drawing area will tell you how many of each type of object you have selected. This is easiest to do for a large number of objects if you use the selection tool to drag a box around them. Tom OCtoolguy 1 Quote
BadBob Posted May 26, 2021 Report Posted May 26, 2021 Ctrl-A to select all, and the number of objects is shown on the bottom of the page. Quote
