Scrap wood, the base was a 2x6 salvaged from some nearby housing construction scrap bin (probably worth a couple hundred bucks these days). Piece is stained Minwax "Weathered Oak", base is Minwax "Honey". Sealed with a layer of rattlecan shellac. Took about an hour to cut the piece, then another hour or two worth of sanding and shaping the base. Holes for the flags were eyeballed, no idea what the angles are. I was looking for a Betsy Ross flag (the one on the viewer's left) on Amazon and found the "Spirit of 76" flag as well, so I picked it up instead of a 50-star flag. preprius, danny, FrankEV and 8 others 11 Quote
