Wedding ring box

When my soon to be daughter-in-law mentioned making a ring box, I assumed the standard lidded box. But then, she showed me something from Etsy.

So of course, I said yes and started making "prototypes" (future firewood) until I came up with this.

The hinge is called "Roto-Hinge". Since the photo, I have added a magnet in the base and a countersunk nail head as a "latch" as the hinge is really free swinging. 

Approximately 3.5". Hole is 1 3/8" Forstner.

It is made with wood from her grandfather's land, about 50 yards from where they got engaged.
