But then, she showed me something from Etsy. So of course, I said yes and started making "prototypes" (future firewood) until I came up with this. The hinge is called "Roto-Hinge". Since the photo, I have added a magnet in the base and a countersunk nail head as a "latch" as the hinge is really free swinging. Approximately 3.5". Hole is 1 3/8" Forstner. Thanks for looking.
