Basket pattern by Alex Fox. I used 1/4" Hard Maple 10" square. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #1R MGT blades. The finish is two coats of spray Shellac with sanding between coats. This piece of wood was extremely cupped and after cutting the rings and gluing, turned out nice and flat. Comments welcome.

Nice one, Denny. I've never tried making a bowl or basket. Have to put that on my "to do" list down the road.

Thanks Rodney.  Very easy to cut, it is the glue up that takes time.  I start with the top ring upside down and work up from there.

Well, I guess I'm regressing to my boyhood youth when I read a lot of comics.
Here's another one I just finished cutting out.  A SG pattern - will be painted with a yellow background and Red letters.  Had some scrap 3/8" inch ply leftover from an earlier project and couldn't resist.  I'll take it to the Farmer's Markey this summer and try my luck.

Finally having the time to do some cutting and enjoying it a lot.
Another one down and 253 patterns left to go from my binder 'o patterns.
