Popular Post Dak0ta52 Posted September 3, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted September 3, 2022 I finished these up this evening. They are stack cut from a pattern by Granpa, one being Oak and the other Birch. Both are 1/4-inch ply stained with Minwax Natural. The backer board is 5/16 Pine simply painted black. The frame is Maple framing material with the Oak frame stained Colonial Pine and the Birch frame stained with Natural. Both were sprayed with 4 coats of clear gloss with light sanding between coats. This pattern was a lot of fun to cut. While it may look complicated, the frets are fairly large and, surprisingly, the project didn't take as long to cut as what I had thought. There are a couple places you have to be careful about cutting out a bridge but overall, it was pretty sturdy. Thanks, Grampa, for the great pattern.
