Bill WIlson Posted February 8, 2023 Report Posted February 8, 2023 When I was younger, I was convinced that I wasn't afraid of heights. I worked in construction and climbing ladders, walking on the top plates of framed walls, scaffolding, roofs, etc I was never bothered by being high up off the ground. I never had the occasion to be that high up, but believed I was capable. I realize now that not only am I not capable of that now, I likely never was, when I was 20, either. Gene Howe Posted February 8, 2023 Report Posted February 8, 2023 Some people live on the edge, I want my residence further back,,,,,,waaayyy back. My knees turn to jelly if I'm above the third rung on a ladder. Dan 1 Quote
Joe W. Posted February 10, 2023 Report Posted February 10, 2023 reminds me of my younger days. I flew a powered paraglider for 15 years and have flown over towers similar to that. Whenever I'd fly just over the top of it, I'd get nervous like I do when I'm standing on a roof or other structure. But not when I was flying any other time. Weird. Quote
