Hello Puzzles, I am thinking of starting a hand cut wooden jigsaw puzzle guild with the mission of promoting its members:

Through an on line catalog with a bio, examples of work and a link to their website.

To promote instruction on hand cutting wooden jigsaw puzzles with a scroll saw through zoom, prerecorded video and in person demonstrations.

To sponsor public events for members to sell their puzzles.

What are your thoughts, would you be interested?

Hi Dee:
Have to agree with Dan, well done
Looks like you took an image and glued it onto a backer then cut it out as a puzzle
I would be interested in the process and the How to on doing this, not so much to
sell but rather give to friends and family to keep them out of my hair....LOL
Good luck with what you are trying to do here - Hope you get enough people
to make this happen
Keep up the great work

Wow, those are some very nice puzzles you have in the gallery!  Have never seen anything like it before.  I too would be interested in your process, though it may be a bit too advanced for my skills at the moment.  You have a great idea with the guild. Hope it works out.

I like this idea as well as I generally give my puzzles to my great-grand kids but would sell them if anyone was interested

Back again with a question, is there any books on this available on Amazon ?? Anyone ??

EDIT Is it ok to print on A4 High Gloss Paper 230gsm ?? or does it need to be thicker/thinner ?? This is what I use for printing pictures of my great grand children and I hope it would ok.

Sorry to be such a pest but while recovering from my recent stroke I am very hyper and quite frustrated when things (left hand especially) don't work as they should. So far I have found 2 books on Amazon, "Making Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles" by Evan J Kern and "Making Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles " by Charles W. Ross and as both are quite expensive books I wondered if anyone here had any opinions of them ?? I love reading books andit would keep me quiet until I can get back to the workshop..
