  1. I have a little wood shed that I scroll in. In the winter months I use a propane buddy heater to warm up the place. It is small so doesn't take too long to heat. I just go and turn it on then come back and have my coffee and what not for about an hour or so, really depends on how cold it is outside. When we hit negative 30-40 this last winter, I did not even bother to scroll. Like others, I bring all my glues inside. Our big shop is not heated either. We use a wood stove there and works fine for us.
  2. Nice. I love it. My neighborhood has a ton of these beauties right now. I just love listening to them and watching them float by overhead. I think I'll make one of these!
  3. Fantastic job. Such detail. Love it.
  4. You are pretty amazing at coloring you finished pieces. I hope to get to that level one day! Nice job on this one.
  5. That is just beautiful. Impressed you did all of it with straight blades.
  6. Absolutely beautiful! Love the subject and very nice cutting.
  7. Looking good!!
  8. Welcome, and don't forget to share those projects with us. We'd love to see them.
  9. That is absolutely gorgeous!
  10. One of my favorite Eastwood movies. You did a very nice job on this! May have to try this pattern. For the record, I have never visited the island but have always wanted to.
  11. Ok good, I got time. LOL It is the sanding that is stopping me so far. It seems that you need some artistic ability to sand the pieces into the best shape to make it look nice. I'll get there, eventually.
  12. Love that. I'm with TAIrving, really want to try intarsia but not there yet. Keep inspiring us.......

    Wall art

Some wall art husband and I made from the floating shelves, to the wood turnings, to the scroll sawed pieces.
  14. With the help of @grampa, I finally finished the Corgi portrait that he made from a picture I posted. Thanks so much. I used a #2 and #3 spiral blade to cut this one out. Just need to put some danish oil on and it's ready for its new home.
  15. Looks amazing.
  16. I buy my bits from artcraftersonline.com. Denny ships quickly and is wonderful to work with. He has micro drill bits down to #70. I use a lot of 2/0 spiral blades and need those tiny drill bits.
  17. I pretty much feel the same way!
  18. Just Wow! Very impressive.
  19. I love the idea. Would have loved to find something like that from my Grandparents. I'm sure it will be a treasure for the grandkids. Hoping it won't happen for a while though.
  20. Aww! Nicely done.
  21. All are lovely! My favorite is C. Looks like a hard one to do for sure.
  22. I have not.
  23. I agree, that looks beautiful.
