  1. Very nice! Love your choice of wood, they really stand out.
  2. Oooo I love this! Very nicely done!
  3. Wow, I could just stare at that for hours. Absolutely beautiful!!
  4. I'm a slow scroller too but that is the way I like to do it. I'm enjoying fretwork at the moment and there isn't much speed to be had there. I'd be breaking tons of blades if I were to rush it . I tend to use thicker wood so that also slows me down. I just put on a good audiobook, pop my earphones on, and forget about time. To each there own I say. If you want to increase your speed, then work towards that. It's all about your personal preference. Just be sure to enjoy it!
  5. Beautiful! Absolutely love it. Amazing to me that you did all this with a straight blade. Kudo's!!
  6. I have two. The Rose is one I have been working on already (I believe I posted the pick in the past), but I finally decided on a background and finish. Made this one for my Mom. I finished it with Walnut Danish oil for the rose, and a Mahogany stain for the back ground. The Labrador is for a dear friend of my Dads. He had a yellow lab that was his pride and joy. He passed a few years back but he still comes up in conversations now and then. I thought I'd make him something as a remembrance. As you can see, I have a ways to go on it.
  7. Some crazy good talent! Love it!
  8. Thanks. @Scrappile I have never seen Game of Thrones. My neighbor tells me I can rent it at the Library in our little community. Maybe during this long cold Winter I'll give it a look.
  9. Just finished cutting this one. Wanted to try it for a while now. Saw that someone on here did it (looked amazing) so I gave it a go. It was very time consuming, but that is fretwork for you, right. I used Alaskan Birch, size 0 spiral blade on my Delta saw. My struggle now is how to sand it properly and how to finish it. I really like the Danish oil finish and will probably do that but hunting for advice and ideas here. Thanks for looking.
  10. I love it. No question where this portrait comes from, a very good likeness. I agree that this movie is timeless. I've seen it about 3 times now over the years.
  11. I love halloween! Great piece. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
  12. These are beautiful!
  13. Yes!! I like it. Different is good.
  14. Welcome from Alaska. I spent my grade school years in Louisiana. Really love it down there, but that heat keeps me up here.

Welcome from Alaska. You'll get a lot of helpful info here and laughs too.
  16. Impressive!
  17. Oooo I love this so much!! I love how you took great care to find the perfect flag for the project. Our flag deserves so much more respect than it is getting these days. It just peeves me off. This piece is very inspiring and now I want to do something patriotic!! I just love it!

I love it!! My old player in my craft room has a cassette tape it in now. A tape I listened to back in the late 80's when in high school. White Snake. LOL

  23. Denny has excellent customer service! When his website gave me trouble when trying to ship blades to me here in Alaska, Denny got right on it! And I could not believe how fast they arrived. He gets my business and I am happy to refer him.
  24. Those are beautiful!!
