jimmyG Posted October 14, 2023 Report Posted October 14, 2023 Two times I've given things away to people I worked many hours to produce... I had a relative say she gave it away to a friend and another I just found out it was re-gifted.. The reason I gave the things away in the first place was because they commented how nice they were but I guess they were just being nice. Kinda bummed out but maybe it's better than them saying it's not wanted, keep it. Sigh................... RabidAlien, Gene Howe, wombatie and 1 other 1 3 Quote

Scrappile Posted October 14, 2023 Report Posted October 14, 2023 My kids come right out and say it. They don't want it. I understand. Most scroll saw work is neat but it does not fit into most peoples decor. I only give away things that honor something for someone, like giving military emblems to veterans. I only make and give things to my kids if they ask for it. OCtoolguy, jimmyG and danny 3 Quote
Gene Howe Posted October 14, 2023 Report Posted October 14, 2023 Only made 3 things for gifts. One each for my two sisters as Chrismas presents. They'll like them. At least, they'd better. and a puzzle for our 5 y.o. granddaughter. Not hard to please a 5 y.o. danny, jimmyG and OCtoolguy 3 Quote

Wichman Posted October 14, 2023 Report Posted October 14, 2023 I made my former MIL ( a very ornery battleax ) cry on Christmas by giving her a rose themed fretwork shelf. She never gave it up. She told me it was the first time anyone ever made something for her. danny, jollyred, meflick and 2 others 4 1 Quote
