Dak0ta52 Posted November 13, 2023 Report Posted November 13, 2023 I've been contemplating getting a magnetic sheet to place on my saw table but wonder if the thickness would render the reverse blades (MGT) ineffective of reducing the fuzzies on the bottom of the piece. Has anyone ever tried this and if so, how well did the magnetic sheet protect the table and did you see any difference in you cuts? OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Solution dgman Posted November 13, 2023 Solution Report Posted November 13, 2023 (edited) You don’t mention what saw you have. With the EX type saws like EX, Pegas, DeWALT and newer Delta saws, you can mount the blades higher or lower in the clamps. I don’t know about the other type saws like RBI or Hegner. The magnetic sheets are not that thick. I’d say try it and find out. Edited November 13, 2023 by dgman OCtoolguy and Dak0ta52 1 1 Quote
rafairchild2 Posted November 13, 2023 Report Posted November 13, 2023 (edited) For under $20 you can get this, cutable magnetic sheet. I use it on my Excalibur 21" with FD UR blades no issues. I tend to use it when I am doing really small pieces and turn off the bottom vac. https://amzn.to/3QB6Jje Edited November 13, 2023 by rafairchild2 Dak0ta52 and OCtoolguy 2 Quote
GrampaJim Posted November 13, 2023 Report Posted November 13, 2023 I have one on my EX-16 and only use Pegas MGT blades without any problems. Works great! I one I bought is out of stock on Amazon or I would send you a link. OCtoolguy and Dak0ta52 1 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted November 14, 2023 Report Posted November 14, 2023 If you have a Seyco, they came or use to come with one. I never had any problem when I had my Seyco. Dak0ta52 and OCtoolguy 1 1 Quote

And dummy me, I didn't even think about raising the blade slightly in the clamps. Thanks for your comment and for flipping the light switch in this aging brain.
