I just made this piece and the wood is all pine so just curious if anyone would know? dgman Posted February 7 Report Share Posted February 7 Most pictures of Steves projects, including the one you show are simulations, the colors are computer generated. You have to find and pick your owns colors. For me, I always use hard woods. For that backer, I would use Mahogany or Sapele. This piece is Maple for the overlay and Sapele for the backer board.
