Wife asked me to make this as a wedding gift to her co-worker. Since they have no kids etc.. we only need the heart shape and the cross. I will be engraving the names with the CNC so really I only need the basic shapes of the heart with the cross. I'll be cutting the pieces with the scroll saw and making it as a tray type puzzle. I can't seem to find a good image of the heart or cross so I tried making a pattern right from this image but it's taken from an angle and looks weird to me so hoping someone can make this.. should be simple but I guess it's not as simple as I thought because I can't seem to do it, and i've been fooling with it on and off for a couple weeks.. now only a couple weeks before I need it and need to get going on it.. It's going to be used in the weddings unity ceremony so I guess I need to get it done, LOL..

Again I'm not making this as a circle only need the heart with the cross in it.

Here is my attempt.  Not sure of the size etc.  Please let me know if this is not what you are thinking about.  I think you need some sort of border so the pieces don't fall apart.

I included the svg too.

Thank you very much Don. Yes I will actually be making a circle and this will be made like a tray type puzzle. I just really only needed the portion you did for me. I think this should work but if not I'll let you know. Probably going to be a bit tricky since I am making this out of so many different species of wood and pieces will be individually cut.. Thinking Walnut for the cross and Cherry for the heart.. maybe spalted maple for the circle (tray) portion. But I'll have to see what size this ends up being and what wood I have that's going to work for it too.. May have to do a glue up to make it all work. I'll post photos of the finished piece here once I get it finished.

Thank you again

Just finished this up and wanted to show the finished project. Used the CNC to carve the names and carve the heart pocket & cut the big circle. Rest was cut on the scrollsaw.

Circle is made from spalted maple, heart is cut from walnut and cross is cherry.

Thank you again for the pattern help.
