OCtoolguy Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 This one is so well done. It brought back many memories. I lived those years. I have actually visited the nightclub in Iowa that Buddy Holly played the night he died. Untitled attachment 00013.mp4 jpburcham and TAIrving 2 Quote
Scrappile Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 (edited) Nahhh! I do not remember a minute of that. That must have been for you older guys and gals. Thanks, I forgot for a minute how old I am. Not one bit sorry I went through those years, the good and the bad. They were out years. I remember very little about the 40s, but the 50s and 60s are my most remembered. The good, the 50's not much bad, just lowered blue jeans, white T shirts Cig pack rolled in the sleeve of the white T shirt. I remember the 50s more than the 60s, which is funny because the most important things happened to me in the 60s. Marrage, first child owning a SunBeam Tiger sports car. But I really remember most is the VN war. Edited March 16 by Scrappile OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Joe W. Posted March 17 Report Posted March 17 Some years ago my wife and I also visited the Club and went to the crash site - a corn field - where we went to get a GeoCache. It was a good walk into the field and we found the geocache and signed the log. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
jerry walters Posted March 17 Report Posted March 17 Thanks for sharing Ray. Like Paul, brought back many memories. First car, first girlfriend, got married,.... We lived those years, the good, the bad, and yes- the ugly. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. Again, thanks Ray Jerry OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Mike Crosa Posted March 17 Report Posted March 17 Thanks Ray, I also remember those days. I grew up in the 50's to the songs of those guys as well as. I graduated in 1960 and two years later joined the Air Force. Missed Vietnam thank God. First girlfriends in the 50's and then got married in 1967. Three daughters and four grandchildren later, still married to the love of my life. It has been a good life and I thank God every day for what I have and was given. Mike OCtoolguy 1 Quote
