my wife's birthday last week

 I saw this Steve Cook pattern as I was browsing through them and it was a couple of days before my wife's 82 birthday, so I cut this cake topper but since neither of us eat cake and we were going to be alone on that day, I decided just to make it to go along with her gifts I got her. I purposely left off the legs that are made to go into the top of the cake. I also did not put the age on the balloon so she could pass it on to someone who might have a birthday in the future, just for the fun of it.

there is a woman at a nearby assistant living house that will be turning 100 in 3 days and I was thinking it would be nice to make one to give to her and see if they would put it on her cake. I would cut '100' into it for her
