Popular Post Denny Knappen Posted April 28 Popular Post Report Posted April 28 I have not posted for quite some time, but I liked how this turned out. This is an Alex Fox pattern. I had some leftover 1/4" Yellowheart 6" square, so I thought I would make a basket with it. It is modified so that it would fit the 6"square stock. I modified it by cutting off the outer rings until it fits the stock. Cut on the Pegas scroll saw using a Pegas #0 Skip blade. After a light sanding each ring, assembly, one coat spray Shellac, another light sanding, and a final coat of spray Lacquer Clear Gloss. Comments welcome. MarieC Posted April 28 Report Posted April 28 Very nice Denny! Pretty yellow heart. It seems that is getting harder to come by these days.... Great basket! Quote

It’s somewhat unusual to see Alex Fox’s baskets cut in something other than Baltic Birch. Quote
