Hi all,

looking for help to by an aftermarket motor control for rbi 226vs.

tested the motor with a second saw, motor is fine, so controler is shot. can buy from Hawk for 170$ but only if I ship motor and controller to them.
So that makes it over 200$ after shipping.

I see controllers on Amazon for about 30-40$. For 90vdc. Has anyone on this group tried an after market controller?
any suggestions on this?

thank you

Ed

You might be able to just replace the POT controller. I did that with a older Hawk I had and that repaired it for me. I got the switch off eBay for like $5 and soldered it on.. Some of the newer saws I don't think you can do that as it runs through a chip on the board itself. Maybe if you have a electric motor repair shop locally they can help you get it repaired. Do a internet search on "pot switch" you should find something to match the one you have in your saw.
