Coffee is hot and kettle is on for tea, biscuits laid out on a plate and cakes too - all welcome to come for a chat.   For all who were in chat room last night when I had to leave quickly when dad fell over - he is ok. I couldn't get him up on my own and the neighbours were out so had to call the paramedic to get help to get him up from the floor

Glad your dad is okay.

Being a member of the sandwich generation has its share of excitement.  my Mom has had a few falsl and had a broken hip, pelvis and wrist with the falls.

My Mom is 98 and today I have to take her shopping.  Even though she is in a retirement home she still gets her own breakfast and lunch.

I am blessed she is still mobile and all her wits about her.  It takes awhile to shop as she still compares all the prices to get the best deal on a $20 shopping order.

Have a good day

Thx for the coffee Keith.  Glad your dad didn't hurt himself.  I understand as the last time my mother fell, I had difficulty getting her up as was afraid that I would hurt her.

Thanks for the coffee, but I have to pass on the biscuits...watching carbs again. It's another beautiful day in Northern Kentucky. Currently skies are clear and 72 degrees.  The wife is taking a three-day trip so I get to be a bachelor this weekend. Is a bachelor a guy who spends all day in the workshop?

I'm with Sully, except I don't feel like a bachelor guy when I am in the shop all day and most of the evening. I got my wife hooked on Words with friends on the Ipad I bought her for Valentine's day and now she is also on Spades and pinochle. so she is happy to have  me in my shop. I really don't like it very much when my wife is away..the house feels empty...(even if I am in my shop )

Keith   really glad your father is OK

Don, I would love to be able to sit and talk with your mom. 97 that is great. I would ask her so much about my family, as far back as she can remember and have her tell me about her parents and grandparents, while I had the opportunity. Old people know so much that gets lost when they do pass on. I don't know where I am going to get my knowledge when I get old because I am almost there already and that knowledge had better get it's backside moving, if I am going to pass on anything of interest to my family memebers
