Jim Finn Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 After making hundreds of boxes with inlay I thought to make something a bit different to do inlay on. .............. 24" Tall 3/8" thick walnut with maple inlay using the double bevel inlay method on my 15" Jet saw. Birchbark and bobscroll 2 Quote

Jim Finn Posted January 19, 2014 Author Report Posted January 19, 2014 Double Bevel Inlay is a process of inlaying one wood into another using just a scroll saw and some glue. The table is set to about a 2.2 degree angle and the two woods are stacked and cut at the same time. This causes one wood to fit tightly into the other in the shape of a letter or an image. The taper on the wood makes one wood fit inside the other like a cork fits in a bottle. Quote
bobscroll Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Nice work indeed Jim, I like the choice of wood also, Bob Quote
