As you can see its coming along, I 'm finding it a very testing pattern and I'm sure by the time I'm done with it, with all the cussing there will not be any room for me in heaven. To add to the complication I have just discovered a hole in the plywood you can see it goes from one side to the other but not to the outsides. there was no way of seeing it, I drew a bright orange line with a high lighter so to warn me to use extreme caution when I come upon it.post-22084-0-61513500-1390950947_thumb.jpg

Very nice and you really chose an ambitious pattern to cut! My compliments.

As for the weak portion of the wood. I think you could strengthen that from the back side with

wood glue or CA glue (just Super Glue). The only problem I could fore-see with using the glue

is that it would probably be a little tough on your blade.

God Bless! Spirithorse

(I hope this translation is accurate. I used an on-line translator)

Spirithorse thank you for the translation but really not necessary as I'm a Canadian retired in Mexico but thanks anyway, as there are only 3-4 more cuts trough the weak portion I'm going to tough it out I've marked it so when I come to it I know to be very cautious. Lets just hope for the best.

A very ambitious undertaking, Hans, you are doing very well so far. I believe that Roly is pleased to see someone take him up on his challenge. I would be willing to bet that  Roly has never cut it himself. It must be very rewarding to put so much into a pattern design and have someone like yourself, honor the challenge with such expertise.  Waiting patiently to see the ending results. I too hope to take it on, some day.

Thanks for those kind words Dick, no I don't think this pattern was ever cut, I'm almost done perhaps an hour or two tomorrow and it will be done I found a couple of weak spots in the pattern so far so if anyone else is going to attempt this pattern I can tell them about it so they don't break these parts.
