The end of the above post is the beginning of this one.

An eviction notice was served by Marge who said,

"Maybe we should start a new thread,  "What we miss from our childhood or younger years"  What do you say?"

What do you miss, what do you remember?

Tell us about your yesteryear.

Or do you know what a 'church' key is? If you drank beer, you had to have one.

*Do you remember when all dish and laundry soap was powder?

*Laundry soap came with a towel in the box.

*Dish powder had a dish inside.

* Flattops and side burns were in style

*A Pepsi or Coke was called Pop, soda, dope

REMEMBER:

. Coming home from school to the aroma of fresh bread & buns that had just been baked in the wood stove.

. Family gathering around the radio after dinner to listen to favourite radio show.

. Weekends when you would receive your weekly allowance of 25 cents.

. Waking up Xmas morning excited to open your one gift.

. Listening to an older brother sing and playing the guitar.

. Sliding downhill in the winter on your favourite piece of cardboard.
