  1. I created a slideshow of the Favorite Projects Scroll Saw Challenge. It's kinda fun to see. I wouldn't mind doing this for the new scroll saw challenges. It's a lot of work, though. Anyway, feel free to share it on your social media. It's fun to show to friends and family. Enjoy!
  2. When I was a kid, one of my favorite things was making our Valentine's boxes in school so our classmates could put in Valentine's cards. It was so much fun to go through and see what cards your classmates got you. So for me, Valentine's Day isn't only about romantic love. It's also about showing the people in your life how much you appreciate them. A time to check in with friends, both old and new. Connect with family just to say you're thinking of them. A little special something for the kids or grandkids to say "I love you." Post a project you made for your sweetheart, a good friend, or someone in your family to show how much you care. It's open to interpretation, so get creative. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
  3. I don't know if you use PhotoShop or not, but in PS, you can create a script that will run through an entire folder and do the same action. For Photoshop, I think it's Image>Canvas Size.....then it will basically fill in the negative space with white.
  4. OK...I got the demo video posted. You can check it out here if you want to see it in action:
  5. Note: This kit works exactly the same way as our previous Ornament Kits. I'll be making a demonstration video later today to show how it works, though. This kit does require some working knowledge of Inkscape, just as with the other kits. You don't need to be a pro, but you should have the basics down.

  9. Christmas is over and we start a new year. Whenever January rolls around, I often reflect on the previous year. I like to think of the special memories, accomplishments, and time I spend with my hobbies. So this month's challenge, think back to what you created this year and post your favorite scroll saw project. Let us know a little bit about it. Why was it your favorite? Was it a gift for someone? What was it for? I always enjoy the stories behind the project. Can't wait to see your favorite project!
  10. I would like to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope you are able to spend this special time of year surrounded by those you love. My Christmas wish is that the new year brings you prosperity, comfort, and hope. Merry Christmas!
  11. I was looking through our past scroll saw challenges, looking for a new December challenge. I found it strange that even though we push Holiday Ornaments, with our Ornaments For Charity ebook and Personalized Ornament kits, we have never done an actual Ornament scroll saw challenge! So this month, let's show off those ornaments! Post a few pictures of your scrollsaw ornaments. It would be fun to see what you've made. Tell us a little bit about them while you're at it. We'd even love to see them on the tree! Happy Holidays! Let's have some fun!
  12. I'm happy to announce that our Ornaments For Charity - 2023 Edition eBook is now available! For the last 13 years, members of Scroll Saw Village have donated their talents to designing ornaments for this unique eBook of patterns. This year, we added 5 designers to design 20 additional patterns. The book has gotten so large, we had to split it into 2 books. Book 1 covers our first 10 years; 2010-2020. Our newest book, Book 2, covers 2021-2023. Between the two books, we have 171 pages with 525 Holiday ornament patterns! So be sure to download both books. You can download the eBooks for free to check them out. If you decide to keep these amazing pattern books, we ask you to donate to your favorite charity (we're on the honor system here). Remember, this isn't about "buying" an eBook of patterns, it's about helping those in need. So dig deep when donating to your favorite charity. Please spread the word about these wonderful eBooks of patterns. Post to your favorite social media, other clubs, and organizations. The more people who know about it, the more money we're able to raise for worthy causes. You can find those eBooks here. There will be a tab on the navigation menu through Christmas. After Christmas, it will be moved under the Patterns tab in the navigation bar. Special thanks to the following designers for donating patterns to this year's Ornaments For Charity eBook: @Travis @don in brooklin on @jr42 @jesse I hope everybody has a wonderful Holiday Season!
