  1. Hmmm...not sure. I don't see any record. Let me know if it happens again.
  2. Hi all. I just updated the software again. As always, let me know if you see anything funky.
  3. I don't know about where you live, but it's been dark and dreary with terrible weather where I'm at. I'm ready for some spring weather and some bright colors. So this month's scroll saw challenge is all about color. Post your projects where you play with color. This can be with paints, stains, dyes, sprays, markers, decoupage, or different colors of woods. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
  4. Sometimes I have to duck my head under too. But I do like Kevin does and tilt the project up a tish to feed it under. I also pinch the top of the blade so about an 1/8" or so is above my thumb. I find it easier to find the pilot hole. A lot of it is done by feel. Kinda like sewing or embroidery, you have a rough idea of where you need to be and you eventually find your home.
  5. Thanks for this amazing tutorial! It was fun to see the process. @Tj BrownWas gracious enough to let me put his tutorial in the Articles section. You can find his article here:
  6. I've been away for the last few days. I was able to talk to TJ and got him all squared away.
  7. I'm really sorry to hear about that. I took a look and I'm not seeing any kind of post or update in my records. I tested the system again on my profile and it seemed to work. I use Google Chrome. I think any modern web-browser would work fine. I'd stay away from Internet Explorer, though. The only thing I can think of is try it again. Just fill out one field, then click Save button in the bottom left corner of the window. Then go back into Edit Profile and make sure it stuck. If it does, I think you should be safe filling in the other info.
  8. We're setting our clocks forward on March 12th! I'm really looking forward to enjoying a little more daylight in the evening (it's hard to grill in the dark!). So this month, let's do a clock challenge! I'm surprised we haven't had one already, so pay attention to the time and share your clock projects!
  9. Howdy. A shot in the dark, hoping someone has some ideas. My family and I are planning a road trip from Portland, OR to San Francisco, CA this summer. Once we get to SF, we have plenty on our agenda (Alkatraz, Gheredeli Square, Harbor, Monterey Bay, etc). But we're looking for ideas for stops between here and there. We figure we'd take a day to two along the way. Any ideas?
  10. OK....I take that back. I did some more research. My software resizes photos to optimize the web browsing experience. So if you upload a large photo, it won't affect the average member, because they are looking at a smaller version of that file. They do have the option of downloading the original file. Just hover over the image in the gallery and a button will appear called Image Tools, which will allow you to download the original file. I'm removing the restriction on filesize for the gallery. Upload away!
  11. When it says the picture is too large, it refers to the filesize.....not the pixel dimensions. I think it's set to 2.5megs, which is still a pretty large file. Opening something larger than 2-3megs takes a lot of time and bandwidth to download. Especially if folks are looking on a phone. I know some standalone cameras will shoot 10+ megs. At any rate, we try to limit it to a largish file to get quality, but not so large that it is a pain to download. Plus, I have to pay for storage of all these photos, so I want to be careful about opening up the floodgates. I can do this, though. I'll bump it to 3.5megs maximum. That should be enough for most high-quality phone images. I'd imagine, most people are shooting on a phone anyway.
  12. Updated the software again. This will most likely be a monthly thing. I think I'll just start this thread to put all of those announcements in rather than creating a new thread for each update. I'll pin it to the top of this forum for reference. It's nice for folks to know when the software changes in case things aren't behaving the way they should. As always, let me know if my software update breaks anything. Thanks All!
  13. If you're looking for a of Valentine's Day project, we have a couple in the Project Workshop: There's also a bunch of great patterns in the Pattern Library: https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/gallery/category/9-holidays-other/
  14. It's February, and Love is in the air! This one is open to interpretation Post a project you are making for your sweetheart! Or how about a project showcasing something you love? Something like a pet portrait, your favorite car, recreational activity? Whatever you love, is fair game. When you post, tell us a little about it.
  15. $379 for a DEWalt scroll saw on Amazon. Cheapest I've seen for a while. Don't know how long this price will last. You can find that here: https://amzn.to/3wSJozX
  16. If I was to guess, I bet I mostly use BB Ply. I do love cutting Poplar, though. It cuts so nicely.
  17. Check out the poll at the top of the thread. Just a quick poll to see what kind of materials folks are mostly putting on their saw. Just out of curiosity.
  18. Those are great! You should post them in the reviews section for the Ornaments For Charity eBook. I'd love to see pictures of cut ornaments in the reviews. I think it helps a lot.
  19. I had the settings at 7am using UTC, which probably accounts for the discrepancy. I changed the time to midnight PST. Hopefully that does the trick.
  20. You're looking at the bread crumbs navigation. The thing that says "Dark Theme Mode?" is the title of this forum thread. What you're looking for is below the social media icons at the bottom of the screen. There is a line that says Theme, Privacy Policy, User Guidelines, Staff, Contact Us. Click the Themes. A pulldown will appear and will show 2 options. One called Default Theme, and another called Dark Theme. Choose Dark Theme to change to dark mode. Let me know if that doesn't work for you.
  21. I tried it on your account and things seemed to work OK. I also tried it on the Mac. Can you show me a screenshot of what you're seeing when you try to switch themes?
  22. I got the groups page fixed. The carousal are screen shot images of groups....so those will remain white.. I'll keep an eye out for other items that are not looking right.

I believe this is GIMP 2.6. You can download it off my Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T-_ULc2gNWmFMx5MIHTnTReM-4Vh1f4f/view?usp=sharing
  24. I went ahead and created a dark theme for you. If you go to the bottom of the screen, click Theme and choose Dark. Anybody can use this theme. I just have to make sure all of the settings are the same between the two themes. I think I got them, but I guess time will tell. Let me know if something isn't behaving the way it should.
