Pricing can be difficult, and very subjective. I mainly do Intarsia, so I took 6 projects, and kept very accurate records as to time worked on, cost of materials, incidentals such as sandpaper , blades, glue and Finish, for each one of the 6 projects. I took those figures, and figured what I feel my time is worth as an artist, and priced things accordingly based on the number of pieces cut per project. This gave me a beginning price point. I now add a bit based on difficulty, or use of expensive exotic woods, and it seems to work for me. Many have told me my prices are too low, but I am not certain. I will find out in a couple weeks when I attend a large 3 day art show near me, and see how things sell. If I sell out, I will know my prices need to go up LOL...If I don't sell anything over the 3 days, then my prices are too high..
