  2. I wish they would design a real all in one machine! You know..........a scrollsaw........drill press........router table........bandsaw lolol. Now wouldn't that be a handy little dude?! As for the 20 year old redhead.........I think I can do with out roflmbo. I'm a 52 y o redhead.........and even my hubby won't massage my shoulders. If the saw is going he's gone! Drives him nuts hehe. Christina

  10. Wow, such beautiful entries! This is going to be one tough competition. I really wanted to enter too but haven't been able to sit at the saw long enough. But I sure do enjoy seeing what everyone else has entered! Thanks so much for donating the very cool prize Mike...........you are very generous! Christina
  11. I think the best way to learn is to see everything you can! Ask as many questions as you can think of and then jump in there and practice cutting with your saw. Start by cutting lines, zig zags, circles......basically get used to your saw and it's capabilities and how to control it. Be sure to buy good blades too......I think that's half the battle lol. I personally only use FD blades from Mikes. Find patterns that excite you and make you want to cut them NOW....and just jump in and give them a try. Ask more questions. And be sure to post your cuttings here.....you'll get feedback that is just invaluable, not to mention loads of encouragement! And if you're interested in learning to make patterns, Travis has some awesome tutorials that will teach you how. Christina

  14. This just a way cool tutorial! I've always known boxes were created this way....cutting the lid after assembling, but I've never seen it. I love the accent strip...really looks sharp. And I love that you use tape to clamp it all together for glueing....this is a way cool idea! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I can't wait to see it done. Christina

  23. I believe Whitewolf, Darryn, at Scroll Saw Portraits has done this.........I hope I'm remembering right! I've always wanted to tackle a project like this but no longer have access to any antlers. I used to live in Alaska. I think Darryn is a member here too but he's so busy all the time we don't see him much.
