  11. I agree........I would have bought the best saw I could afford. I use a Ridgid 16" and the vibration is just terrible no matter what you do. Mine is bolted down and has an anti-vibration pad under it. Still terrible. I would have liked to be able to take classes on fretwork too. I've stumbled along and I do okay.....but I think I would do better had I had classes. Christina
  12. I've not ever tried to sell my work. However, I do know that Kevin (Jediscroller) on AFSP (now the Fox Chapel Forum at scrollsawer.com/forum) had a formula for how to price your work based on time spent working, materials etc... If you're a member of the Fox Chapel forum you might ask him for it again. Christina
  13. This sounds like a great project and one I'd love to see a WIP about also. I love this idea might give it a go too if yours turns out good lololol.............nothing like copying someone else's idea. But everyone in my house likes to eat in front of the tv and when the grandsons come it would be nice to have their own personalized tv trays! I think Travis is right. But I'm wondering if the self leveling epoxy would make a good finish on your tray. I'm thinking the two part resin would be harder and present a better finish. Not sure though since I've not ever done a project like this...........just an idea. Christina

  25. You did a beautiful job on these bookmarks Tom.........thanks so much for sharing them with us. I'd also love to know where you got the blanks...........did you cut them yourself? If so, do you sell the blanks by any chance, and if not, could you share where you got them? I've wanted to cut some bookmarks myself but can't seem to find a source for the blanks and can't cut them myself since I only have a scroll saw. Christina
