  3. Great idea for maximizing the room that you have. Like dgman suggested however I would put a covering over the tables so that the totes are not seen. It looks cleaner and more inviting. Also something that has worked for me in the past is to make your display in such a way as the customer comes into your selling space where you can engage them for conversation and a sale. You are definitely on the right track however for your display. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW

  6. Dave over the years that I have been selling my wares in different markets one thing above all was very clear. What you think should be a good seller and what the potential wants of the customers can be and almost always are different. You can somewhat minimise this by having a wide selection of different things. Team plaques, Championship plaques and signs, awards and potential trophies that can be ordered, that kind of thing. Glad you did well at the farmers market. DW

  23. Kevin that cross came out great. Issues like you are talking about are quite common with Cedar as you probably know. I just looked on Ebay and for around $86 you could get 36 square feet of 1/2 inch thick 4 foot tall tongue and groove paneling shipped directly to you at no extra cost. Just a thought:) Keep up the great work. DW
  24. Very nice setup. I am glad you did pretty decently for a first show. A question though: Do you have business cards and if you do I have found it a good idea to put some out as folks like to take in the cards and while the vast majority might languish in a drawer of a desk occasionally they generate orders. Are you allowed and able to bring your own tables? Generally it will take a little while to generate a reputation for quality work and start gaining a following. I do not know about in your area Rob but in mine small boxes of all kinds sell fairly well. Keep up that great work you do, talk to your customers, smile and above all.... have fun. DW
