Was thinking of putting magnets on the back so that it could be put on one of those big white boards that they use in schools and business conference rooms. Anyway I digress great job and thank you for sharing this with us. DW

  17. Wire size 70 ( 0.028 inch ) is the smallest I have seen that is readily available. That in case you were unsure is about the size of a sewing needle in diameter. You can get them from several places such as Wooden Teddy Bear, Home Depot ( web only ), Mikes Workshop, Amazon these are just a few of the top choices for them. DW
  18. That works however there is the consideration that there will be parts of a complicated cut that will need special attention and may have to be cut sooner so that structurally the cut is safer ( less chance of snapping anything off ) My self on the big complicated pieces I top feed, on most everything else bottom feed. DW
  19. Those look good to me. So to you they might not be the best you have ever done however the person you are giving it to does not know the difference to them it is a fantastic item that had been handmade. Thanks for sharing them with us. DW
  20. A customer commissioned me to make her 3 year old son a Green Dragon Bank. This bank I cut from clear pine, sealed with one coat of shellac and then painted with a metallic green acrylic paint. The coin slot was cut in the back between the wings and then a brass cover plate was put on. The bank is 10 1/4 inches tall x 8 1/2 inches long ( from tail to snout ) and 3 3/4 inches thick. It was top coated with semi gloss lacquer to help protect the bank. DW
