  7. There is several ways to reduce and eliminate the "bow" in the cut. One is to use a #9 blade cut slow turn slow and not push too much. The other is to use a spiral blade this has the advantage that it will cut a straight kerf but has the disadvantage that you have to practice using them. Either way your box looks great. Practice will make them easier to make. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW
  8. Looking good. Keep up the great work, you are off to a wonderful start. Thanks for sharing these with us. DW
  9. Very nicely done all of them. Thanks for sharing these with us. DW
  10. Kelly that looks great. Here is a thought about the chicken. What would happen if you cut a couple of small chicks from the base of the body of the chicken. Kinda like a nesting puzzle. some thing like this perhaps. Kelly most scrollers I know have removed that foot as it is generally a PITA. You will soon get used to holding the working piece without it. You are doing great keep up the good work. Just a word of caution though about cutting MDF the sawdust from it is not good for you so please wear a dust mask when cutting and sanding it. Thanks for sharing your work with us. DW
  11. Clayton those both are good. I like elements of both colors. Wonder how it would look with the mouth and eye being red, The claw and the rips black. Great job on these. Thanks for sharing these with us. DW

  15. Kkrunde That looks good. You should have seen some of my first attempts. I have quite a pile of designer firewood laying around The thing about scrolling is there really is no mistakes. Seriously, a pattern is is just a guide and no one not one of us follows a pattern exactly as printed. however one thing we all have found is to have fun doing it. With practice you will get better and better. Working alongside family members promotes memories that will last a life time. Great job. Thanks for sharing this with us. DW

  21. Nicely done Kevin. One of the things I have done for the puzzles is to wrap them in either saran wrap or to wrap them in that heat shrink plastic they they use for windows. You can still see the puzzle but you are not having to learn to juggle just picking it up. Thanks for sharing them with us. DW
