  2. Excellent work. I have never tried to scroll leather before... did you sandwich it when you cut it? DW
  3. Backing is 1/2 Black Walnut and the hummers and flowers are cedar. Finish is shellac. Pattern is by Steve Good. DW
  4. My Woodcraft store gets in from time to time exotic hard to find woods in small lots, for turning and other... sometimes they get in a pallet sometimes just a couple dozen board feet. This was one of the boards left from the lot DW

  7. Had a pretty good 2 day craft show this weekend. Lots of people both of my piggy banks sold very early on as well as a lot of my boxes and bowls. My miniature turkeys and Rudolph's sold out each day and I had to make more. I have one more this weekend and then I am done for the holidays. Here is a picture of my setup. DW

  11. Pattern by Steve Good Wood is clear pine and 1/4 ply. ( backing ) backing stained with water based Red Mahogany stain. Finished with shellac DW

  20. Tonight I purchased a cedar chest ( 8 foot x 10 foot x 7 foot x 1.4 thick ). Yes they paneled a whole room with cedar; walls and ceiling. I got the whole thing for just $40. It will take me a little while do disassemble it into useful pieces but doable. Each piece is tongue and groove and is 2 inches wide and 1/4 inch thick and various lengths from 1 foot to 3 feet. Looks like I am going to be making a LOT of cedar things in the near future;) DW
  21. Slow speed and a blade that removes the cut plexiglass quickly. The Polar blades from Flying Dutchman work well for this. DW

  25. Marge yep. I have one of those 10x headsets with a light so I can see that small, otherwise my bifocals give me fits hehe. DW
