Great job on the frame. I like your choice of wood. Of course I am partial to cedar Thanks for showing us. DW
  14. Here is my new bowl with a few work in progress pictures and the finished bowl. As you can see in the picture above I used 3/4 in Poplar Plywood and 3/16 Clear Pine and cut strips that were 7/8 wide and 9 in. long. Â I decided that the blank was incomplete so I marked halfway on each side and connected the marks. Â I cut the corners off and added a 1/4 inch thick padauk strip on each side. Â I decided on a simple round bowl cut at 29 degrees left side down. DW I have reposted the pictures using an alternative hosting for the images as aparently ImageShack still is infected. Sorry about that

  23. Made this oval bowl from Pine, Birch Plywood and Walnut, all scraps. Unfortunately one of the rings rotated a little when I put it in the press and I did not notice. . . . still it looks interesting. The finish is Tung Oil. The bowl is about 7 1/2 long and 4 high DW
  24. Made from a 9" circular piece of 7/8 red cedar that the manufacturer was going to burn if you would believe that. Sealed with Tung Oil and waxed. The design is my own. DW
