  3. Thanks for sharing. For anyone interested, the pattern is from the late/great Dirk Boelman. The pattern was shared on scrollsawer.com but, I do not know how to find back issues or free patterns that they offered. God Bless! Spirithorse
  4. Very nice work! As already pointed out, you can sand the ends of the plain end blades or wipe them down with some kind of solvent. The blades have some type of oil coating to keep them from rusting before they are sold so, getting that oil off will definitely help your clamps. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  5. That is fantastic! As Rocky said, the message is also very meaningful. Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

  12. Congrats on the good sales. Yeah, I'm sure the picture is of the new storage method and has nothing to do with the back-ground! LOL Just kidding, of course. God Bless! Spirithorse

  14. For those asking about the globe pattern, I believe it is a Charles Dearing pattern as shown here https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&id=D409DC52116563468C1ED47C98E61D364573E734&thid=OIP.67D3sbrTmbQ19aTqHXfvqwAAAA&mediaurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bearwood.com%2Fmedia%2FSSCD-SPH005Proof.png&exph=289&expw=183&q=charles+dearing+globe+in+hand+scroll+saw+patterns&selectedindex=0&ajaxhist=0&vt=0&eim=0,1,2,6 but, I cannot verify where to buy his patterns. Charles is always changing venues and was selling through Wooden Visions, Facebook, and Bear Woods but, I could not find a link that actually worked today while trying to give you a good address for Charles Dearing. Maybe Gator will re-visit this page and notice that people had an enquiry for him. Good Luck and God Bless! Spirithorse
  15. Nicely done! Those look like some pretty narrow edges but, you did a fine job of cutting it out! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
  16. I have an electric branding iron from Rocklers. It did take me a while to determine how long to let it heat up and it seems that I have to rock the branding iron from front to back and side to side to get an even burn on the entire signature and emblems but, I usually get good results each time now that I have really practiced with it. I do brand on the back side of the pieces before any finish is applied. I personally think Rockler is pretty high priced and would shop around for a better price. I received mine as a Christmas gift. God Bless! Spirithorse
  17. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse

  20. Brenda, You did an excellent job on the project and you deserve to be remembered as the artist. Hopefully, this may also generate some contacts and more sales! Your signature is absolutely beautiful! I have used home-made address labels, ink pen, sharpie (ink markers), wood burning and now also have a branding iron that says "Hand made in America by" with my name and two American Flags. As Kevin said, I do not date the pieces only because if I have a piece that did not sell for a year or more and people see the date they may feel a little concerned that the project was not just made recently. Thanks for sharing your work and God Bless! Spirithorse
  21. Great work, Brenda, Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse
