Dick, it looks alright to me, but, if it doesn't in yours it is an easy fix. If it was a piece that I did, I would just scroll it out of there on my saw. And if I didn't fix it that way, there's two types of fixes I can still think of. Another way to fix it, would be to use a router and router it down below the surface, and put a new piece in there to it the way you want it too. But before putting the new piece in place, do the printing and finish work on it. Good luck.

P.S. Before I ever do any printing or markings on a piece of wood, I always coat the piece with shellac or thinned Varathane. Then, if I make an error when printing, it doesn't ruin the piece because the mistake or error can be removed.
