  1. My word Marg, that is some of the tidiest cutting of letters I've ever seen. It's good to see that you feel up to cutting, you weren't down very long. Len

    G-MEN

    Looks nice. Len
  3. Thanks for the review Brian, it was quite informative. What I don't like about the jet, is the bottom blade clamps. I would never want a saw, that requires me to attach a separate piece to the blade to make the saw work. To me, that is just a bunch of frigging around with something you'll drop. I'm not sure if it is the Hegner saw or not, that has the same type of system. If it is the Hegner, that's what stopped me from buying one years ago when I first got into scrolling. Len
  4. I've never had an issue like this with my saw, did you do what Wayne has posted? If you've tried that and it doesn't solve your issue, I would suggest that you call Ray at Seyco. Len
  5. Holy smokes Edward, that is a very impressive display of your work. There's lots there to pick from, something for everyone. Len
  6. WOW, what a career, thirty years with the Seals. That's amazing. It's a gorgeous cutting with the live edge, I'm sure he will be impressed. Len
  7. Kris, personally, I have a problem with this piece. You did an amazing job cutting it out, but, you didn't make it clear enough to make out the picture. When looking at your cutting, it's impossible to make out that there is a gun in his hand. There is to many squiggly lines in the piece, it has to have some straight lines to make out the objects in the piece. Sorry, if you think this critique is to harsh, it's meant to be constructive. Oak Cross

Nice looking cross Dan, I'll have to check him out to see what he has for patterns. Thanks for letting us know about him, it's always nice to find a new pattern designer. Len
  9. Nicely done Todd, that should get lots of attention. Len
  10. Nicely done Al, eighty-nine cents well invested. Len
  11. Dick, it's a good looking cutting, There is a couple of things I would change if it was me. The red eyes are fine, but, I don't like the glitter eyes. I like the orange frame, but, I think it is just a bit to small. Len
  12. Monti, you sure have been keeping yourself busy, these puzzles look great. They all should be good sellers. Len
  13. Beautiful crosses Monti, I pick the one on the right hand side of the picture as my favorite. It's beautiful, the grain work really is outstanding. Len
  14. Nicely done Dan, I like the live edge. Len
  15. Bill, I stack cut angels out of MDF for a support group, they use them for a memorial service. To stack cut, I glue up five layers of MDF with hot melt glue around the edges. The layers are small squares about 4"x5" or so. They make cutting much easier, as the smaller pieces are easier to handle then a large sheet is. I try to have a bunch of these stacks ready in advance, you never know when you have a few minutes to scroll. Len
  16. Martin, if your looking to make something like Wayne has posted, then you want battery operated led lights. I use Danson Decor brand for my projects, they operate off of three double AA batteries. They can be set to operate off of the timer, or, they can be set to stay on. I buy my lights at a dollar store, and I buy the twenty light sets. But, you can buy sets with fewer lights if needed. Personally, I don't think rope lighting will work, I don't know if it's the proper type of lighting. I think that the rope type of led lighting is to bright, I don't know if you would get the shadows to work the way they should to make the project to look right. The light sets that I use don't use a lot of power, the batteries usually last for 5-6 days before needing to be recharged. That's with the lights being turned on for about 6 hrs daily, and I use rechargeable batteries. Len
  17. Steve, I'm sorry, I read your complete posting, but, that part of it just didn't register. Len
  18. Steve, they look great, did you give any to the lady that gave you the wood? If you have any spares, maybe you should share them with her. Len
  19. Three very nice looking pieces Louis, is the first one in the pics a puzzle? And on the Santa, are those real lights? The Hulk cutting is very detailed, whoever ends up with it will be pleased. Len
  20. Looks nice to me Jerry, it's a very popular saying. Len
  21. Nice job, but, I've sold things like this in the past. I don't think there would be an issue, unless you started mass producing them. Len
  22. Oh woe is you Andrew, it's terrible what we're forced to do to survive. Get off your butt, and break that new saw in. Len
  23. Impressive, you have some very nice looking pieces of work, thanks for sharing them with us. Len
  24. Dick, it's a good looking cutting, and the different colored backer looks alright. IMO though, I don't think you will find another color to beat black. Len
  25. Peter, they are very nice and colorful, the black backer looks good. But, I don't see why you couldn't have painted the backer, the same green colors you painted the front piece? Len
