  1. Looking goon on this one. Your brother should be excited to get it. Great work on a great pattern. jim penquin
  2. Got a few more done and wanted to share. The first is one I call "Cards anyone" Pattern is by Janevski as well as the Prince pattern is his also. What a difference in work. The number of cuts in one over the other was huge but both I think really display the subject very well. Had fun doing both. Now we need one for the Spades and Clubs. The vultures is one I call "Dinner Time" and it is from a drawing I saw in a booth at the LA Book festival this year. This artist always displays and I really like his stuff so this year I asked if I could do one of his drawing in wood. Sent him a few photo's of what I do and he said to go ahead and select whatever one I wanted. Picked this one just like it a lot. Asked Don at Oldcrow scrollworks to help out on the pattern and he came through like the champ he is. This is the results. Send the artist a photo of it and he is really excited. Said he sold the original and only has prints left of it and now he can have a original in a different media of it for himself. I told him if he gave me permission to do one I would give him a cutting. Sorry for the long story. The last one is a custom sign a lady asked for at a fair I did. She wanted the wording in German for it. Asked for the Quails and mountains. JIm penquuin

  17. Dave, that looks great. Sometimes it is hard to decide on the backer to use when you do dark wood. It always makes me stop and think about what I am trying to have show. You did a great job on it. like it. jim penquin
  18. Been a bit slow in posting any new photo's of stuff I cut. Here are 4 of my newest ones. Want to give thanks to the wonderful pattern creators who make the patterns for these. Got two new folks I bought from for the first time and their patterns are outstanding. The solider and dog is by R J Black at BlasxWoodworx, He has several great patterns available. Engine 99 is by Making Dust with Charlie hand. Got some nice one's has a couple great train patterns. Sioux Hunter is by Gayle of Scrollers Cafe. and you have to love her work. Native Girl is by Charlie Dearing it is his # 573. My thought is you can never go wrong with one of his. Hope you like then as much as I had fun cutting them jim penquin
  19. Good looking cut. I would put a backer on it. That way it will look good no matter where it is hung up. If it was to go on a wall with a mix colored background I don't think it would look as good as it is. jim penquin
  20. Very nicely done and what a great thought. jim penquin
  21. Sounds like a new saw will be on its way for someone. Go for it, that way you both can enjoy. jim penquin
