  1. Hi Perry Open Office is no different than all the other programs There is a learning curve and once you straighten out that curve, it's actually fun Everyone has their favorite program(s), you choose one, learn it and go from there The BEST PART of all this is no matter what program you choose if you're stuck on something there is always a Villager or two, or three, or four who are willing to help out All we have to do is ask Fab4
  2. Hi Les: Please check your PM messages Fab4
  3. I knew there was a reason why Dick wanted to leave - now I know.......LOL
  4. Hi Frank Check your PM - Sent you a message Fab4 Sorry Les , didn't mean to steal your post hope you find what you're looking for with Open Office
  5. Hi Runa: That last thing you want to do is get discouraged (unmotivated) if things don't go your way I have found over the years that things I thought would sell didn't and things I thought would never sell went like hotcakes. Like Len is saying, put them out there and see what happens If they sell, you are well on your way, if they don't sell find something that will and keep going And yes, I agree with the above, they look good Good luck, and keep it fun Fab4
  6. Hi Craig If you have never messed up a project or three you haven't been scrolling long enough Welcome to the club Fab4
  7. Hi Christian: If Katie's option doesn't work Another thing you can try is to take a picture of it, and resize it with Inkscape or Gimp or Photoshop then print it If you need two pages because of the size just match the sides of the 2 and tape it together Fab4
  8. Hi Tom: I looked at this and the first thing that came to mind "Holy crap, Tom, how long are your winters" I too choose the last one, right up my alley Good luck with whatever you choose to do keep us posted Thanks Fab4
  9. Hi Don: I sent you a pm It was I who sent this to Ray back on Oct 2, 2017 Am I in trouble??? Thanks Fab4 (Paul)
  10. Hi Edward: I agree with your wife - I hate doing this also but if that's what it takes to keep things moving than so be it - If you have have your materials covered and a bit more then GO FOR IT If at the reduced price it doesn't sell then it becomes designer firewood, never to be made again it would make our lives a lot simpler/easier if we knew what the public wanted but we all know it doesn't happen that way By reducing your price and actually selling those items it may lead to more work down the road so you are not really losing out And yes, most items are a lot of work but again, you know as well as I do, we will never get rich doing this type of work Good Luck whichever way you decide to go Fab4
  11. Hi Jim: This was sold on Etsy Does this ring a bell? Just happen to run across this, so I thought I would show you It looks like you got what you wanted Fab4
  12. Hi Iggy: This is how we learn - trial and error You chalk it up to experience and move on Good Luck the rest of the way Fab4
  13. Hi Mahendra:

You still got it - your pattern making skills are still one the best around

    Question for you:

Back in 2006 I made these two Harley Davidson portraits

I was asked to make these again but I do not have the pattern for them - I was just wondering if by chance you would have these in your archives of patterns - If so would be be so kind as to forwarding them to me

    my e-mail is: [email protected]

    Thanks Mahendra

    keep up the great work

  18. Hi Kevin: On one of my computers (have several) I still have Vista I also have WindowsXP that does the same thing as far as no updates you are right about not getting updates, these OS (operating system) are dinosaurs For me, it still does what I need it to do but if you find that you can't do a few things then yes you should get another computer with a newer OS Windows 7 or the dreaded Windows 10 - personally, when the time comes I'll be looking at a Mac computer Good Luck Fab4

  24. I can't believe Home Depot is that Desperate OR did they find the next greatest thing I know for the lazy woodworker this could be a gold mine but with a little ambition you can get it for free I know that people make some awesome things with pallet wood but why buy it all you have to do is look around you Not 100% convinced this is a stupid move/idea from HD - As Stoney stated above there's a buyer for everything Fab4
