  4. Hi Perry: To answer your question It would appear that the end is near for scrollsaw work but for me personally I think laser sucks when used for scrollwork I'll be a scroller for as long I can You just can't beat that feeling when a project is done and people appreciated your work Fab4
  5. Hi Will: Sorry, I don't have an solution for you There's having patience then there's waiting for Windows 10 to update I like(love) your solution with the 12 gauge Did Iggy's suggestion work? and was that a shot gun blast I just heard Good Luck Fab4

  9. Hi Edward: Tons of good replies here for your to read I wasn't going to get in on this topic but hit a nerve so I'm replying As mentioned, your venture is an ambitious one but achievable in the long run Here's where you struck a nerve: "I'm trying to learn it "ALONE" as to not "BOTHER" anyone" Well mister, this is your first mistake....LOL Feel free to bother the Villagers, anytime, and become a real P.I.T.A. You are not alone here and we really don't mind being bothered Trust me, you'll like it here. Between you and me there are a few crazies among us, just giving you a heads up Oh yeah, almost forgot.....Welcome to the Village Fab4

  11. Hi Ray: I use Inkscape Once I get the one pattern to where I like it I just duplicate the original and place it beside the original Then I keep duplicating the pattern and place it on the paper - once the paper if full I save it then print it out from there Fab4
  12. Hi Travis: Sent you a PM Fab4

  18. Hi Perry Open Office is no different than all the other programs There is a learning curve and once you straighten out that curve, it's actually fun Everyone has their favorite program(s), you choose one, learn it and go from there The BEST PART of all this is no matter what program you choose if you're stuck on something there is always a Villager or two, or three, or four who are willing to help out All we have to do is ask Fab4
  19. Hi Les: Please check your PM messages Fab4
  20. I knew there was a reason why Dick wanted to leave - now I know.......LOL
  21. Hi Frank Check your PM - Sent you a message Fab4 Sorry Les , didn't mean to steal your post hope you find what you're looking for with Open Office
  22. Hi Runa: That last thing you want to do is get discouraged (unmotivated) if things don't go your way I have found over the years that things I thought would sell didn't and things I thought would never sell went like hotcakes. Like Len is saying, put them out there and see what happens If they sell, you are well on your way, if they don't sell find something that will and keep going And yes, I agree with the above, they look good Good luck, and keep it fun Fab4
  23. Hi Craig If you have never messed up a project or three you haven't been scrolling long enough Welcome to the club Fab4
  24. Hi Christian: If Katie's option doesn't work Another thing you can try is to take a picture of it, and resize it with Inkscape or Gimp or Photoshop then print it If you need two pages because of the size just match the sides of the 2 and tape it together Fab4
  25. Hi Tom: I looked at this and the first thing that came to mind "Holy crap, Tom, how long are your winters" I too choose the last one, right up my alley Good luck with whatever you choose to do keep us posted Thanks Fab4
