  3. Hi Marg See if this helps you at all Fab4 Windows 10 & Windows 8: 64-bit or 32-bit? Open the Windows Control Panel. Tip: You can check your Windows system type much faster from the Power User Menu but it's probably speedier that way only if you're using a keyboardor mouse. With that menu open, click or touch on System and then skip toStep 4." Touch or click on System and Security within Control Panel. Note: You won't see a System and Security link in Control Panel if your view is set to either Large icons or Small icons. If so, find System and touch or click on it, then skip to Step 4." With the System and Security window now open, click or touch System. With the System applet now open, titled View basic information about your computer, find the System area, located under the large Windows logo. The System type will say either 64-bit Operating System or 32-bit Operating System. Note: The second bit of information, either x64-based processor or x86-based processor, indicates the hardware architecture. It is possible to install a 32-bit edition of Windows on either an x86 or x64 based system, but a 64-bit edition can only be installed on x64 hardware. Tip: System, the Control Panel applet that contains the Windows system type, can also be opened by executing the control /name Microsoft.System commandfrom Run or Command Prompt. Windows 7: 64-bit or 32-bit? Click or tap on the Start button and then Control Panel. Click or tap on the System and Security link. Note: If you're viewing either the Large icons or Small icons view of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Just click or touch on the System icon and then proceed to Step 4. In the System and Security window, click/tap on the System link. When the System window opens, titled as View basic information about your computer, locate the System area below the oversized Windows logo. In the System area, look for System type among the other statistics about your computer. The System type will report either a 32-bit Operating System or a 64-bit Operating System. Important: There is no 64-bit version of Windows 7 Starter Edition. Windows Vista: 64-bit or 32-bit? Click or touch on the Start button and then Control Panel. Click or touch on the System and Maintenance link. Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, you won't see this link. 4. Hi Jerry: I like that very much That looks really good Well done Let the competition begin between father and son for the saw.....lol Fab4
  5. Randy: I've said it once and I'll say it again "Insanity at it's best" Thanks for showing us Fab4
  6. Hi Monti: I'd use it to smack that clown trying to sneak into my house Oh shoot, wait, I didn't answer your question O.k. I'm with Len on this one - Decoration Fab4
  7. Hi Melanie You're on the right track Do not be afraid to experiment and never let a pattern overwhelm you - One hole at a time and next thing you know you have just created a masterpiece - Some take more time and patience to do but the result is always rewarding Keep it fun... Fab4
  8. Hi Marg: You're welcome They turned out really good Well done Thanks for showing us As for painting them, I have no problem with painted wood projects Sometimes a little color adds to the design - Kind of makes it your own Fab4
  9. Hi Scrappile: Agree with what you said 110% Fab4
  10. What was the question??? Oh yeah, hangers on 1/8" Thanks Dave - I'll never buy 1/8" material again Fab4
  11. Hi Danny: Really like the combination of colors on this one Well done on the letters - easy to read Looks really good Thanks for showing us Fab4
  12. Hi Donna: You have just made my "that's insane" list It's not a bad thing A few scrollers here at the Village are on it too If this doesn't win, I'd like to see what beat it Well done and Thanks for posting this Fab4 P.S. Great Video How long does it take you to make minute rice???
  13. Hi Dick: If the wife likes it, who are we to argue...........lol My thoughts on this for what it's worth The frame by itself is cool A darker orange would make it look better Looks more on the "peachy" color side I would have glittered the whole backer, not just the eyes Not really sure if the cutting (which is well done by the way) goes with this frame. BTW, I drive a Dodge Ram.......rusty grey Fab4 P.S. Someone, somewhere out there will like this very much the way it is
  14. Hi Cliff: Patience is the key when started out Keep in fun Remember, THE VILLAGE or personal e-mails is a REALLY GOOD place to get your questions answered Fab4
  15. Hi Dave: Well done....Suggestion: With the way things go these day your second frame should read as follows: Our Second Home..............Apart Fab4
  16. Hi Dave: Absolutely nothing wrong with the way this is cut Looks really good Have to agree with Melanie about how the attempted hint of color Suggestion: If you want color Most of the cuttings have a backer on them Usually black. Use a light stain for your cutting, paint the backer different colors and see how that looks May or may not show enough - if all else fails paint the backer black and move on to cutting number 7 I'd be proud to display this one if I were you - well done Fab4
  17. Hi Larry: I visit on a daily basis No need to have my inbox or "spam folder" full of messages that I will read when I drop in You are right though, I didn't know about it Should pay more attention to the settings.............lol Fab4
  18. Hi Dave: Your work is borderline insane - - - That turned out great - Move to the head of the class Did you design the pattern too? Fab4
  19. Hi Danny: What about Gorilla Glue? I always glue the stained/painted pieces then I apply the finish What are the pros and cons of adding a finish before gluing? Fab4
  20. Hi Dave: It "wood" appear that your problem is not the glue but more the method you are using - black lacquer before gluing??? Fab4
  21. Personally: With Inkscape and Gimp being free I would think twice about spending money on a program With a little coaching, you will soon be on your way to designing what you want Word art is a lot easier to learn than trying to design "good" portraits Any program you get, there will be a learning curve Our very own Lead Bottle Washer (Travis) has excellent tutorials here at the Village Don't give up on the free programs, you'll be surprised at what you can do with a little help To steal a phrase from someone we all love...........lol "BELIEVE ME" Fab4
  22. Hi Larry: Great idea The scraps from the ones I make, I give to the grandkids and they take them to school So everyone has fun when they have arts and crafts The teachers did want to see the real bird houses which brought on quite a few sales..........Just another option for you to look into if your interested Fab4
  23. Hi Larry: Is it just from SSV or your e-mail as a whole Fab4
