Hi Dick: If the wife likes it, who are we to argue...........lol My thoughts on this for what it's worth The frame by itself is cool A darker orange would make it look better Looks more on the "peachy" color side I would have glittered the whole backer, not just the eyes Not really sure if the cutting (which is well done by the way) goes with this frame. BTW, I drive a Dodge Ram.......rusty grey Fab4 P.S. Someone, somewhere out there will like this very much the way it is

Hi Dave: Absolutely nothing wrong with the way this is cut Looks really good Have to agree with Melanie about how the attempted hint of color Suggestion: If you want color Most of the cuttings have a backer on them Usually black. Use a light stain for your cutting, paint the backer different colors and see how that looks May or may not show enough - if all else fails paint the backer black and move on to cutting number 7 I'd be proud to display this one if I were you - well done Fab4

Hi Danny: What about Gorilla Glue? I always glue the stained/painted pieces then I apply the finish What are the pros and cons of adding a finish before gluing? Fab4

Personally: With Inkscape and Gimp being free I would think twice about spending money on a program With a little coaching, you will soon be on your way to designing what you want Word art is a lot easier to learn than trying to design "good" portraits Any program you get, there will be a learning curve Our very own Lead Bottle Washer (Travis) has excellent tutorials here at the Village Don't give up on the free programs, you'll be surprised at what you can do with a little help To steal a phrase from someone we all love...........lol "BELIEVE ME" Fab4

Hi Larry: Great idea The scraps from the ones I make, I give to the grandkids and they take them to school So everyone has fun when they have arts and crafts The teachers did want to see the real bird houses which brought on quite a few sales..........Just another option for you to look into if your interested Fab4
