  1. Rodney I will pray for you and did have a knee replaced about 8 rears ago. It was done at the VA in Indianapolis. The surgeon was very good and well trained. I was up standing the night of surgery no walking but stand. They used a leg unit on the leg from the ankle to mid thigh with continuous ice water circulating in hospital and out of Hospital.. I think that and sarting PT day 2 before discharge and PT 3 days a weak for 6-8 weeks.. I think the icing was helpful and PT important and Rest is important.. Boring but important. That being said ir has been a few years no pain but clicking started recently in the right knee which also hurts and will need replacement also. I have other things to deal with but yhr time will come for fixing.
  2. Well I wear gloves both hands while on a job. Oh did I mention I am a medical person. after gloves on you may hear Bend over,
  3. I will pray for your until things settle and your back to yourself again and reading about your next project, You are loved
  4. Thank you I do need the larger print and I am ticked off getting out of bed. I do have my Old Geezer Association plague on my wall so don't bug me.
  5. Thank I hadn't seen or heard of this going on. I will check but I do not think it affects my model.
  6. The one I am doing is the one that is head to below chest in a frame. The name from Judy Gale Roberrts is the Last Supper but is just the face and chest with window frame. I am not ready for Dave's skill level but maybe some day. Thank youFor the input, photos and encouragement..
  7. I am looking at increasing size of projects. I have made a few little intarsia but improved a little with smaller projects and will be biting off more than I can chew but just going to jump in. I found the Last Supper by Judy Gale Roberts and looking for any suggestions would be helpfully. I have had the pattern for over 10 years and feel it is time to step up..Thank you for any direction you are willing to give.
  8. I would second the suggestions. I used a 3-5 blade slow down and one other thing years ago it was suggested to me to try Duck tape instead of packing tape. Changed my cutting without Melting together.
  9. Happy to see your return. I understand old and can relate. my dad just turned 100 in March we talk often mind is still good so I enjoy and am blessed by his advice and discussion every day.
  10. May want to discuss with doctor. you seem to have it under control but waiting may change down the road results. It may be worth a discussion to be ahead of the game.
  11. Great to hear your recovering. The ice circulation device was very helpful for me and sleeping in a recliner. When the man came to take the Icing machine back I thought about shooting him but it was fine.
  12. Sorry for your loss. back at the shop has always been calming for me. Hope it will give you peace as well.
  13. Wow now that your set forever you certainly won't need to worry about it calapsing what you going make.
  14. Dan I wish you well and pray for full success and healing following surgery. I have had left knee surgery 5-6 years ago and healing went well. My father had bilateral knee replacements and has done well for many many years. He was 100 in march. keep us posted
  15. you really know how to hurt a guy near his birthday but I did not miss any and several I knew before looking at more than the top
