  1. As others have said... a week or two. It also depends on how good the wood is at absorbing it.
  2. Free wood! You can never go wrong. Worst case you can burn it. I say take what you can.
  3. Ok, the Indian on the arrow head is really cool! Great work. The bear came out nice, too.
  4. I made these for my 2-year old granddaughter. I plan to add more as she masters the shapes. These are scrap poplar from puzzles and I added a magnet to the backs to stick on the refrigerator.
  5. Nice Duke! Is that your design? How big is it? Looks like oak. Great color contrast.
  6. Great tool! Great find.
  7. Stevan, I don't have a Hawk but I'm very familiar with your issue. My Delta P-20 had the same issue with no way to adjust it. It was a problem with compound cuts and puzzles. I added some shims to the rear table mounting bolts. The blade motion didn't change but relative to the table it is now an almost perfect 90 degree front-to-back cut. Even with a #1 blade and 3/4" wood the puzzles pieces slide together nicely. I'm not sure if you can do this with your Hawk but it may be worth looking into.
  8. Neat idea.
  9. No doubt you'll get some rain and winds,it's just a matter of how much. Back in the day, all hurricanes were named after women because they were so unpredictable. At least that's what my dad told me.
  10. My brother got a bunch of colored LED bulbs (C7) from Amazon and gave me some. They only use 0.5 watts and barely get warm even after they've been on for hours. Perfect for many projects.
  11. That is fantastic!
  12. Here's another moonscape. I'm working on a few for Halloween then I'll have to come up with some designs for Christmas.
  13. Awesome work on both the lighthouse and frame.
  14. I coated my table with Teflon last year and no rust. The saw dust can be easily blown or swept off effortlessly. No wax needed.
  15. Roly, maybe a combo of the blade and wood. It looks like oak and the grain can take some practice especially on smaller projects.

Nice work on all. I love the intarsia. I wish more folks would post there intarsia pics in this forum.
  17. I have used them in the garage and they are comfortable to walk on and will keep your feet warmer. Like others have said, not the best for operating equipment as most are designed to operate best when set on a solid surface.
  18. Hehe... Thanks for the proofread. It's now fixed.
  19. Hey Kevin, I'm not sure what you are looking for but I threw this together for you. Will it work? Oops! I sho uld have checked my work first. I'll have it for you in a few minutes. OK, try this. Live.pdf
  20. I've seen it but not sure where. Maybe from a magazine. You could always download an image of a motorcycle, trace the outline, and draw your own tabs/slots.
