It looks like Scott lit the fire for many of us. But, let's not forget Jim Sweet and his Woodimals. He got me started over 10 years ago with his Moose puzzle. And Dave and Judy Peterson have several puzzle books with instructions to help get started. So thanks to all puzzleheads for an addictive hobby.

A local park's nature center has an activity room for kids. They have other item and this fits right in with their theme of local animals. I'll probably take them there next week.

    Welcome to The Village George!
  6. If you click search and change the category to images you will get all images with a title or tag with your search word. You will have to sort through patterns and pictures.
  7. Great piece Wayne!
  8. Awesome! Are they layered? They look 3-dimensional.
  9. Excellent! The splash of color really enhances it.
  10. Happy New Year everyone!

Wow! Thanks Duke! I'll cut it tomorrow. Thanks Melanie! I'll look into Jim's book. There may be more in there I may be interested in.
  14. Cool and simple. Thanks.
  15. Happy New Year Kevin. I'll drink to that.

A few native critters. Great fun to cut. After a dip in blo mix they will go to the nature center. I'm still looking for a bobcat pattern. Does anyone know of a bobcat pattern to our chase?
  18. Excellent! It's been a while since you posted any vinyl.
  19. Thanks for posting this. Did you notice if there was a difference on the underside where the reverse teeth cut? I'm always looking to improve and may have to give the PS Super Sharps a try.
  20. Welcome to The Village Jodie. There are some clock makers here but I don't remember anyone making a cuckoo clock. Please post often and show us your work.
  21. Baby steps. I am nowhere close to artistic. I start with a rough scotch (think stick figures). Once that idea starts to make sense I will look for some clip art or photos that are close enough and put them in in place. That's when Inkscape or Gimp come into play. As mentioned, watch the tutorials on using those applications to create patterns.
  22. I love the touch h of color. Great job!
  23. I agree with everyone. The pattern only suggests the blade size. Try the size and blade type you feel comfortable with. I've been scrolling for about 15 years and I still change things up as I feel work for me.
  24. You, my friend, are very patient. Good job and congrats on finishing it. Wonderful piece.
  25. Nappy New Year Ron.
