    Wish me luck

Got the answer yesterday. It was positive so will go in next week to plan the future. After reading the answer from Rockytime, guess I am better off than I thought.
  2. Welcome back. These aren't the golden years but rather the rusty years.

    Wish me luck

Well, I survived. Was definitely not a fun experience but pretty much pain free. Strange laying there and listening to the Dr. and nurse discussing pictures of my insides. He did lead me astray as he said a biopsy which sound like one to me. Wound up with 12 samples taken so imagine my prostrate looks like a chunk of Swill cheese. Now a week of waiting for the results.

    Wish me luck

Am off to the Dr. today to have him do nasty things to me. Think it is a wasted effort as all the tests so far are positive but he wants to be sure so will be doing a biopsy.
  5. Very nicely done. I have seen that pattern but do not like cutting stars.
  6. Very well done. I am sure he appreciates it.
  7. Angiograms are easier now than they used to be although still not fun. My last one had me up and out in a couple of hours. Best wishes and hopes that everything works out OK.
  8. Welcome from MO. I left Phoenix in 63 and was back in 88 and decided it was too big.

    Howdy

Welcome from a neighbor to the north, MO.
  10. I have an old Craftsman floor model and a Delta variable speed bench model. That way I have bits of different sizes so don't have to change. Also use a Dremel with the router stand next to my saw for the holes I forgot to drill.

    Any Golf Fans

You are lucky to be able to attend. Once upon a time when I was teaching in TX and had passes to the Houston Open, I wanted to see the pro-am but it is always on Wed. Called in sick and went but managed to steer clear of the TV cameras as didn't want to show on the evening sports. Did get some sunburn however, so had to tell everyone the next day that I had a very high fever. Don't think they bought it.
  12. Have used DecoArt for years. Found Apple Barrel to be very thin color.
  13. Welcome to the site. Visited your gallery and was greatly impressed with the quality of the work. You are doing great. As others have mentioned, you are permitted to sell finished pieces of the patterns, just not the pattern itself. It is always nice to give credit to the designer.
  14. Glad to hear that you're still kicking.
  15. There are some great magnets in old microwaves. Just don't get two of them close together with your finger in between.
  16. I agree that cutting more than 4 in 1/8" takes more time than it saves. I'm sure that price depends on location and what the public will pay.
  17. Hey Bob, that is great. I will either add a dog cutout to it or enlarge it to include the cutout. That way it can be done with any breed wanted. Thank you so much for all you do. May be a while before I can do as life keeps getting in the way and have some other projects going that have a deadline.
  18. Years ago when I had my store, I sold Olsen blades but when I discovered FD, I switched and have used them ever since.
  19. Found this quote and thought it would make a nice plaque that could have different breed cutouts added. "All guests must be approved by the Dog."
  20. Great job. Haven't heard anything from Sylvia for a long time.

    Finally!

Beautiful job and I like the walnut.

Very nicely done. I have donated crosses at church for silent auctions and they always do well.
  23. Nicely done. Most of the Marines that I have worked for ask for red backing.
  24. I have hesitated to post this info as am sure it will be questioned. Was asked to participate at our local Celtic Festival again this year with my carving group. We do not sell but demonstrate. Last year people kept trying to buy things so I decided to have something this year to sell. Didn't have much time as haven't been able to work in the shop. Did manage to finish a few cuttings of a thistle over a trinity Celtic knot. These were 1/4" poplar and put on a bamboo skewer so they could be stuck in plant pots. Didn't have time to put on a finish as barely got the glue dried. Couldn't believe it but they all sold and could have sold more. Of course, there is not a picture so you will have to take my word for it. Was a great day of good weather and a lot of bagpipes.

Nice job and like the idea. Think I might have cut off the top part of the board though.
