Close grain wood could be mahogony with Walnut base. I,m real low on plywood so I guess I,LL get into hoarded hardwoods now. Cut with scroll reverse FD#9 blade 10.75" long x 1.5"tall. No stain or clear.

I,m happy with 150 watt bulbs but they are not cheap and I broke 2 so far.now I use daylight 60 led lamp.i have 2 but keeping one for a back up but lately am thinking of using both.i face outside my warehouse and the glare is very announcing.i kind of hide behind the lamp which helps. Your lights interest me. I,m using a sewing machine foot switch ,modified to just on & Off.simple fix,take out the reastat,change a wire configurating and I,m good to go an easy 7 years on the same pedal.i had to cover it in cloth as wood chips would get blown inside it and stop it from working.thanks for the incite on your lights

  17. Well I had quality time in the shop today amid all the quarantined and shut downs. Nice quiet area for a change, no back to back trains , train horns ,car horns ,drive by traffics. I felt at ease to do as promised and knock out some of his patterns. Still more to cut maybe tomorrow,everyday is different. Thanks for looking.cut with FD scroll reverse#9&#7 blades on the DeWalt type 1 over 20 years old. It got it's work out since I bought it . Looking for the water cooled one coming out in the future,maybe!!! Lol
  18. Congratulations on the DeWalt I have a bakers dozen of them!!! That,s how much I like them. And I don,t want to wait for parts so I,LL cannibalize one for what I need should the time come. I bought them when I was working, good thing as I can,t afford to buy one now on my retirement!!! Get one of the many spring loaded arm lifters it will simplified your scrolling greatly as will a foot switch. Welcome friend ,your in great hands here!!! Hope you become a regular!!!

  24. Good job , you just reminded me of a tool I have with all the ammo that I haven,t used in a while!!! Been using my Ryobe finish nail gun to adhear projects to a stand when I,m in a hurry to deliver and no time for glue to dry
