I'm glad you posted this Joe.I like to cut fast and compound cutting has put the brakes on that for me.I've lot's more mini bird houses to cut and i want to cut them fast.So far the skip tooth is working much better than the scroll reverse blades i've been using..well shortly now your going to get your answer as more of us will chime in on their knowledge of cutting thick wood. Thanks again for asking.
Hi Joanne ,Looks like the scroll saw bug bit you too.Your skill level is way up the ladder ,so no worrys about making fire wood projects,Stop in offen as you never know what you'll miss out on,Welcome friend!
Tweety tould tike taying tin tne tf these tomes, tou tid ta tery tice tob tf them,Got my tongue tied looking at these beauts.I well know the amount of work mit takes to produce one,Great job!
Sounds good.On the birds it doesn't take much with a dremil and a sandiing drum to get more birds from the scrap around the compound cuttings of the birds.
Lots of cutting .I even dug deep in my shop today to get access tom hard woods to glue together for ornaments and compound cutting mini bird house.Im inspired!
I remember i was feeling good ,maybe i took my meds twice ,don't know but i was buying buying buying like no tomorrow.I never do that since the recession. But happier days will be here when the blades come in Thanks!
It's been years now since i got a good blade order, I got a small one from the teddy bear awhile back but i need grosses more. I'm going to retire the scroll reverse blades as i found out the polar skip tooth blades will let me scroll twice as fast. I'm loving that.Also. I got into the mini bird houses that are thick and now i want to try compound ornaments.# 5& #7 & 9 & 12 blades were my mainstay. To bad the polar doesn't come in #12. All i've left to cut with is lots of sizes less than #5's. One person payed me today from a christmas order with a little extra. I've over spent this month some how and have been with out cold water to drink for two days.
Little do they know their project they had me make that they defaulted on is my next craft show showpiece.Everything gets used one way or another.Personalized things i get practice changing names .And so it goes ! I just have a ball scrolling ,money or not. When $'s come in i appreciate it even more because of dead beats that got me.It all works out.LOL,i'm sitting on a $175.00 order and it's getting broken every time i move it .It's so fragile.
Well done ,Glad to have you as are newest member,Pull up a chair and make lots of friends.I can see your going to overwhelm us with quality work, bring it on .You get lots of great compliments,Welcome again friend!
