Hi Joanne..I have never found the blades to be square front to back...it souldn't be an issue...that is what makes them cut...if you could cut out a shaple like the ace of clubs in 1/2"or 3/4"pine or any softer wood realy and post a pic of that it might help us figure out what is going on with your saw...since your saw is so new I wouldn't take it appart either... you might have to take it back and have it looked at....I feel sure some other members will chime in and offer some advice..

  14. Great work Dakota...keep it up...check out flutter wheels, they really make cleaning up the cut edges easier, just watch that it doesn't grab and throw you work piece across the shop..try it on a piece of scrap wood first till you get a feel for working with them...

  18. Hi Trevor...I was cutting Tulip wood and had the same thing happen...I put on five layers of packing tape top and bottom, try not to have any wrinkles in the tape as it makes the wood wobble... it really helped...mabe the same thing would help on purpleheart...
