  2. Hi Guys...hope you are all having a good Memorial weekend!... I have started making a vortex funnel for my shop vac.. Got it all marked out and hope to get cutting it out tomorrow...I am going to cut it out of a piece of 8X1X21"long spruce that I happened to have left over from an other project....I saw one on woodgears site made like you would make a barrel...I am trying one made like Steve Good made a vase...

  13. Very nice cut Trevor ... I agree with Xray...that you should give it a splash of oil to bring out the grain and help protect the wood....but to each their own....thanks for showing us.
  14. Very nice work Trevor....someone will snap that up...thanks for showing us...what is that on the corners of the frame?
  15. I like it... A flutter wheel does work better than a flap wheel...more surface feet per minute...just my two cents.. Have you given any thought to cuting the web out between the thumb and the first finger? A very nice project...
  16. That would be a flutter wheel....thay are expensive also....but do a great job and I think help with the cleaning up of a project... Is the software for that CNC solidworks?......my son just started working as a CNC machinist and showed me solidworks ...It's kinda mind blowing.....a lot to learn...again thanks for showing us the progress you are making...

  18. Those came out great Xray... ...Thanks for showing us.. Imho I think you should go with the marble look on the Poplar....you could clean up some of the tool marks with a gouge? Congrats on getting your new tool.....I have been enjoying this thread... good to see your work progress..

  24. Ken...you can grab the blade just below the top blade clamp with a pair of pliers and then just above the bottom blade clamp and twist it 90 degrees left or right (same direction for both obviously...lol) ...or put in in backwards to get to the parts you are having trouble reaching....hope this helps...
