  3. len, my drill press doesnt drill straight it likes to go off center so i use the larger one so i can turn it down and account for the side that is off center so itll be a bit fatter then a reg slim line pen...once i get an upgraded drill press i got a bunch of corian that is about 1/2 in wide that i want to get made into pens... but i guess u get what u pay for when it comes to tools...the bigger lathe is what i use to make canes.   5. Marshall, and Kevin, thanks guys.. yeah marshall, my wife loves the cruxification piece... sawtooth6 did a very good job on making the pattern. especially when you stand back from it, looks almost 3-d like Kevin.. will do coming soon

  7. well its been awhile since ive posted on here.. been really busy trying to get up some inventory to hopefully do a few craft fairs this year. already had a few orders. Hope yall are good... the original pattern maker is under each pic... either cut on birch or sandeply 1/4 inch

  11. The box pattern by Sue Mey pens are slim line, cedar, poplar, and fig, the fig and cedar was made from trees cut down at my aunts, portrait and cat portrait is newest order from a friend

  13. thanks everone for the comments, thing about spirals is 1 the blade holder has to br reallllllly tightened. and the break more then reg blades, we went thru 10 blades just thank God that a guy that was selling stuff across from me saturday gave me a pack of spiral (ryobi) blades, lol he mustve thought i would use them soon.. next big sign i make, will quote a price plus the price for blades. the couple picked up order, pic below
  14. Wood is 1/2 inch sandeply (home depot special) used a spiral blade to cut it, size is 3 foot by 18 inches sides routed customer to pick up tomorrow, will do her own painting or staining on it.

Hey all, been awhile since ive posted, hope all is well with everyone, these pics are from orders ive recieved the last couple of weeks. the marine vet plaque pattern by Steve Good. portraits designed by me, oh, btw the doctors portrait will be sent to them out in LA. along with 4 pens.. i love the show, will be sent out friday after wife gets paid to buy a frame for it all portraits are 1/4 inch birch or 1/4 inch oak plywood... comments are welcomed Jim

This is our newest order, guy we met at the craft fair, wanted these portraits done, so a couple days after the craft fair we got a call, ...took 4 days of cutting, 1 day of pattern making.... wood used is 1/4 inch birch, the portraits n the front row, (3) was stacked cut. finish with polyurethane, and black felt, ready for framing comments are welcomed Jim
  19. the deer tree hugger pattern from http://www.yardshadows.com the portrait on oak plywood the customer loved them both the portrait puzzle is of my daughter and her friend at the prom.... cut on oak plywood, used spray adhesive to glue down the kodak photo paper then used polyurethane to finish it.. will be delivering the puzzle and a pecan pecan pen with pen box to my daughter on 5/22/11 will post pics after. comments always welcomed
  20. dan, clayton, i just painted the brass tube white, what is flocking?? is that putting clay in the lettering? i do have some moldong clay i got from the craft store.. thanks Jim

  25. made these the last few days whimsical pets wall rack pattern designer John A. Nelson SSWC issue 41 on plywood stained in dark oak original pattern has 5, i messed it it, so i cut the 5th one off I am busier my own design, beaver on log came from wikimedia commons website wild kid zone pattern by Steve Good
