  16. CD, sorry it took so long to reply, the one thing i can say about pattern making is buy travis's dvd on gimp pattern making, its 15 bucks with all 8 lessons, very informative. at first making a pattern took a day or so, now i can do it in a few hours, for a simple one, longer for more detailed. contact Travis to get his dvd's. or i think he has them on his other site..www.scrollsawgoodies.com hope i helped, i know with me seeing how to do it (per dvd) is better for me then to just read it. Jim
  17. Hey Kevin, Wooohooo congrats on the free spot/admittance to craft fair, we will be hitting some this year for sure.... to get some free advertsing take a look at your local radio stations website and if they have pics of the dj's grab it aand get a pattern made and take it to them, along with a key chain, our radio station loved the gifts we made them, and got free advertsing every time we take something to them. Just a suggestion Jim
  18. woodburner, great job on the burning, a little tip when you want to give a piece the old timey look, get a propane torch (walmart 20-35 bucks) and burn the edges corners, anywhere that you think itll look good i do that with alot of my projects. great job once again Jim

  21. Brett, great pieces, i just now started making clocks, the windmill clock was my first, it was a pain,
  22. this clock pattern was in a newest edition of a wood working magazine, cant find the magazine, once i track it down, ill post what magazzine and who made it, the back is walnut stained, numbers are maple stained, clock pice bought from michaels crafts store
  23. windmill clock size is 35 inches tall, from top of blade to bottom, 25 iches wide from tip of blade to tip of blade think yall know where the pattern came from.... pedro from finescrollsaw.com not bad for my first time, took a week to cut, just assembled it today, notice the clock is a bit off to the left, think i will stay away from these clock making projects, that involves this much brains... Jim
  24. xray. nice cutting, and i love them exotics, zebra wood is pretty easy cutting ( my opinion) i made a keychain for me and my wife and a couple rings out of it, i do have a suggestion about getting exotics, if you have a fairly big lumber yard in or around your town, that sells all kind of lumber, see if they have cull wood (seconds), we did that back in october got a few pieces of exotic, bought all their cull for 50 bucks for 2 trash cans full and what was on the ground by the trash can, alot of usable wood, most just had small cracks in em. if you dont know of any lumber yards that sell all kinds of lumber, google for your town and surrounding areaas, we had to travel towards atlanta (65 miles) to get the cull..
  25. Dale, thanks for the feed back, greatly appreciated lol xray, wre getting a good amount back check to come in feb 4th, thanks for the feedback, always welcomed
