  1. Brett, Kevin, thanks guys, yeah i agree, i was trying to put red material on the inside, well it didnt go as planned, so i just used up what i had in red craft paint
  2. Hey Rob, Welcome to the village, the best forum on the web, sorry bout your accident, i am also disabled, been so for about 3-4 yrs now. I have a craftsman 16 inch scroll, works well, good saw to start with, I hear good things about the dewalt, $$$$ there. i started out with a Ryobi from home depot, had to take it back 3 times to exchange cause of parts missing, or the blade holder screw would break, i would suggest not to go with Ryobi for a scroll saw, my opinion tho. Any ways welcome, have a ?? just ask, great folks in here. jim

Sleigh from tom zeig from a christmas ornament book i bought reindeers from http://www.craftideas.info/html/santa_s ... eer_b.html ( the site says for personnal use only, not for commercial) i made my wife these, ughhhh the stuff we do for our women..lol Reindeers are made of 2 inch pine sleigh plywood, hope yall like
  5. thanks vector, lol i only got 2 reindeers cut, used 2 inch pine for them, my scroll saw dont like the thick wood, but i do a few things with them.. had to use thick cause i wanted it to stand on its own, and not fall over with the slightest thump. maybe ill have the others cut by next Christmas. thanks again

  7. Hey everyone, i found a sleigh pattern it was a pattern in a book i bought ... Christmas scroll saw patterns and designs by Tom Zieg. made of plywood 1/2 inch 12 inches x 6.5 inches in size so far it is just glued together, will reinforce it with small nails next and a lil more sanding prolly caulk where there is gaps, feed back is welcomed,

  9. with me, on 3/4 in and smaller wood, the faster the rpms, the better the line or circle, when i tried it going slow i was all over the place, looked wavy. I got a 16 inch craftsman, (until tax time) and use craftsman blades, ( until tax time) then im gonna try out them flying dutchmen blades. Well thats my 2 cents worth

Kevin, Hey man, thanks, i would love to have a variable temp burner, maybe one day, sad thing is im gifting more then im selling, but thats fine, i am still getting our name out. lol i tried to find the real photo of the baby, but i must have deleted it, working on another burn of my sis in law and hubby, well thanks again kevin, mucho appreciated..

This is a wood burn of my friends grand baby, while she was still in the hospital after being born, the pattern i used, I took the photo to gimp and desaturated the photo then went to photocopy, then i just played with it til i got the desired shading i wanted, i left out some of the shading on the face and chest of the baby, finished with poly, burned on 1/2 inch sandeply, will be gifted to friend fro Christmas.

Kevin, Hey thanks, yeah my prices are low, once i start going good in the store, i will eventually go a lil higher on the prices. yeah my shop is in our barn, it wouldnt be so bad but in between each board is a 1 inch gap, guess they didnt know how to build barns back in the 30's, yes thats how old this place is,, lol will eventually get some plastic, thanks again, im babbling so im gonna stop,lol

Well its been awhile since i have been on here. been working on getting my site set up, waiting on the old site company to change server to our new site co. plus i did these states, Michigan and Pennsylvania puzzle, made of sandeply, pattern by arpop The ladies in the middle of each pic are the radio DJ's i wood burned, at our local radio station
  21. Hey Steven, what i would suggest is get some carbon paper, at office depot, staples, or ebay, thats what i use, i tried the spray adhesive in my early years of scrolling, also it will save on ink, just in case u have to do more then 1 like for an order, etc. ttyl

The portrait is my aunt and uncle, i stacked cut 2 pieces of sandeply, finished with poly. the name is of one of my nieces, its on cherry, finished with tung oil, these will both be gifted on Christmas, Phew, almost done, Hope my scroll saw holds up another week or 2, then its in the shop it goes for a tune up, feed back is always welcomed
